yeh, i have had a look this morning and the headset seems to be lose, is this a new headset or can something be done to tighten it?
george2511

you can buy things that tighten the headset but im not to sure what there called or where you can buy them from but i do know they exist!

if it is really really really loose then i would recommend buying a new head set
taze

if u can fix it fix it but if there is still a problem then its worth taking ur bike to somebody that knows wat to do and get it done properly rather then damaging your bike and putting yourself at risk of having an accident on the road
taze

personaly i would wear it out and opt for the accident tho

Get an allen key, loosen the stem, tighten the the starnut type the in the tube then tighten the stem back on. Simple.

sounds good, i would try to do that before doing anything else,

i have found out that the thing that tightens your headset is a stem lock.

for more info you could look here http://southernfreerider.myfastforum.org/ftopic884.php

george2511

good luck with it all! and keep posting updates on how you are getting on with our advice

Wht sort of headset is it, we can't offer much advise with this little info, you wont need a new one, just take it aprt and grease it up, then put it back together.
stotty

you should also check the inside of the stem where the bars go, if the edges are sharp they could work into your bar making it firstly creak then secondly the big ouch.
